How to style your sweaters this season

Hello beautiful people

As promised I am back with the most awaited post. I know it took me sometime but I have been busy with Image Consulting assignments. I really enjoyed conceptualizing and styling the sweaters in this post. I hope you guys enjoy reading this, as much as I loved putting it all together.

Sweaters are a wardrobe staple; after all they are so warm and versatile. The styles and trends have been evolving over the years, Kudos to all the designers who are always on the go to bring varied colors, textures and patterns. Whether it’s plain knit or a sequined sweater, off shoulder or a cold shoulder, there is a sweater for everyone and what you like is solely your Personal Style.

This post is all about how to style your sweaters. Get some insights on how to ditch your boring jeans or jeggings and pair your favorite sweater with a skirt or dress. Now, without a second thought, scroll down because winters are here to stay for quite sometime and remember life is too short to wear boring clothes.

Look 1

I paired my much loved cold shoulder sweater with palazzo to give it a more formal and classy look. You guys won’t believe how versatile this sweater is. It goes with half of my closet whether it’s suede skirt, maxi or denim. The color, the fit and oh so cozy feel makes it a perfect winter staple. For this post, I decided to pair it with a beige palazzo, a bling belt and added a pop of bright color on the lips – just to add elegance and freshness to the overall look. If you are going for luncheon or day out with your friends or colleagues (with colleagues you may opt for lighter shade of lipstick), then I suggest you try this combination as you can never go wrong with nudes.

The second look totally breaks away from the formal image of first one. This one is like a back to school one, more casual and fun. My next choice is a trumpet sleeves sweater (I am in love with this color). This has loose sleeves so anything flared would not look as good as skinny jeans or pencil skirt. I paired it over a midi body-con dress and opted for a backpack, fringed earrings, and sneakers. I added those geeky spectacles to complete the look and it turned out to be cherry on the cake. Trumpet sleeves or bell sleeves sweaters are going to be in trend, in A/W 2017 as well. So do add it to your collection whenever – wherever you grab your hands on it. In case you want a lead, then Zara has added few similar pieces in their new collection. Anyone going for a picnic or short trip uphill should definitely give this look a try.

Metallic, ‘the oomph and the sexy’ is one of my favorite tends this year. It’s difficult to imagine wearing a sweater to a party or a formal event. I don’t remember wearing one, do you? This was until I found a metallic sweater. I styled this look with a cropped metallic thread sweater, maxi skirt, burgundy fringed earrings and metallic heels. Metallics are so much in vogue that by pairing it even with your jeggings, you are good to go without putting an extra effort. The overall look is sending a party vibe and is still so warm. You can wear metallic sweater to a party, night out or even a cocktail by pairing it with some statement accessories and footwear.
